With collaboration of İstanbul Medipol University and International Society of Urology (SIU) the operations done within Medipol Mega were watched by SIU members around the world live.

4 operations (Urethroscopy, mini PCNL, BiTUEP and TURBT) that were performed within Grand Rounds event by collaboration of İstanbul Medipol University School of Medicine Urology Department and International Society of Urology (SIU) were published live on SIU Academy site for SIU members to watch. Operations that are done within organizationship of İstanbul Medipol University School of Medicine and International Medicine (UTF) were performed by worldwide known doctors who are Dr. Esteban Emiliani,  Dr. Daniel Pérez Fentes, Dr. Thomas Herrmann and  Dr.Josep Gaya Sopena. İstanbul Medipol University completed another criterion from circular letter that aims foundation of centers of excellence by ministry of health. Healthcare facilities of Turkey with suitable manpower capacity, health  technologies profile and physical basis are defined as “centers of excellence”, Medipol Mega Hospitals Complex made a live surgical course with Grand Rounds event within this scope. Medipol will continue working on this pilot study on urology also in other clinics.

TV STUDIO WAS SET FOR THE OPERATIONS

In the operations which were contributed by İstanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine Head of the Department of Urology Prof. Dr. Selami Albayrak, Academic Member Prof. Dr. Jean de la Resette moderated the TV studio. While doctors around the world performing operations with their teams and Prof. Rahim Horuz coordinating and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yunus Oktay accompanied in every operation and Dr Academic Member Mustafa Yücel Boz assisted operations. All the details of operations performed in Medipol Mega University Hospital were published live by Medipol Media Centers, the questions about the operations were answered  in the newly formed TV studio.  Bağcılar Education and Research Hospital Head Physician Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yaser Müslümanoğlu, UTF Academic Member Prof. Dr. Pilar Laguna, Pamukkale University Education and Research Hospital Prof. Dr. Ömer Levent Tuncay, İstanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine Urology Departmet Academic Member Assoc. STUDENTS IN MEDIPOL SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL MEDICINE (UTF) and MEDICAL SCHOOL HAVE ALSO PARTICIPATED

Operations which differ from similar ones in terms of interactiveness, were also followed up Medipol University School of International Medicine (UTF)and Medical School students. Students received instant answers to questions about the surgery, due to their participation in the surgery, they will receive a SIU Certificate.
